This module aims to demonstrate the theories used to support endoscopic evaluation, biopsy and ablation of bladder lesions. On completion of this module, you should be familiar with the different methods and reasoning used to detect, evaluate, and extract bladder lesions.
At the end of this module, participants will understand:
- Indications for flexible cystoscopy
- How to set up a room in preparation for a flexible cystoscopy
- Safely prepare a patient for a flexible cystoscopy
- Understand when to list a patient for a formal TURBT/Cystoscopy and biopsy Vs TULA
- How to perform a thorough flexible cystoscopy
- How to perform a biopsy through the flexible cystoscope
- How to set up a diode laser including the different settings
- How to perform safe TULA
