SUMMARY:CRUK Talk Cancer Train the Presenter Training Day
DESCRIPTION:Help save lives and run your own cancer awareness presentations in the community.  \n Join Talk Cancer’s Train the Presenter training day on Wednesday 28th February from 10am-4pm.   \n How can Talk Cancer benefit me?   \nDelivered by nurse trainers\, the interactive training days will equip and empower you to raise cancer awareness in your community. It will help you by:  \n\nIncreasing your knowledge of key messages around reducing your risk of cancer\, the national cancer screening programmes\, and spotting cancer early. \nBuilding your confidence to talk to the public about cancer. \nHelping you to encourage people to make healthy changes\, access local services and visit their GP promptly with any concerns. \nUpskilling you to present a Cancer Research UK scripted cancer awareness presentation and manage related questions and discussion. \n\n Is the training suitable for me?  \nIf you work with group who experience cancer health inequalities and have the ability to deliver a short cancer awareness presentation to them\, the Talk Cancer training will help you make your conversations and sessions more impactful. \nPlease note that this is Train the Presenter not a Train the Trainer format. You will be trained to deliver a scripted cancer awareness presentation to the public\, not upskilling others to become trainers.
