Henry Sloman

Henry is the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Educator for Greater Manchester Cancer Academy. Prior to this role Henry worked as a nurse in a multitude of roles with a focus on young people’s mental health. Henry got involved in EDI work due to another role within a LGBTQIA+ Staff network which developed his skills in the sphere of EDI. Henry also has experience working with the School and Public Health Association to develop the School Nursing offer to encompass EDI to better meet the needs of children, young people and families. As well as this, he has worked with universities as a Lecturer to support nursing students develop their EDI knowledge base. Henry will help develop the Academy’s EDI offerings and work with stakeholder groups to meet the needs of the cancer workforce and patients.
