Mr Satish Maddineni is the Clinical Director for the Greater Manchester Cancer Academy. Satish graduated from the University of Edinburgh Medical School in 1996. Satish is a dedicated Consultant Urological cancer surgeon and was appointed to Mid Cheshire & Stockport NHS Trusts in 2010. From there he moved to Salford Royal (now the Northern Care Alliance) in 2012 as the urology cancer lead where he has led the laparoscopic programme and more latterly the successful robotic surgery programme. Satish is now the Chief of Surgery for the Northern Care Alliance overseeing all surgical services at one of the biggest trusts in the UK. He has been the Director of the Greater Manchester Urology Cancer Board since 2014 and has chaired the Prostate Faster Diagnosis Pathway committee for NHS England resulting in its successful national implementation in 2019. Satish led the Prostate Best Timed Pathway work for Greater Manchester in 2019 resulting in the region adopting a more contemporary, rapid and more accurate prostate cancer diagnosis pathway across the region.
Satish is passionate about education and training and believes the Cancer Academy can be at the forefront of providing a plethora of multimedia educational and training resources to help our blended cancer workforce of the future.
