There are 5 types of gynaecological cancer, and in Greater Manchester we are keen to raise awareness across all points of the pathway (from early diagnosis through to treatment options) and working to tackle health inequalities. This academy will launch with an event for the Gynae Pathway board with more work currently being scoped to deliver a skills lab in the coming months.

A hands-on practical session covering taught topics on examination basics and smear taking. A practical workshop with a trained facilitator will allow the opportunity for you to look and feel cancers. We will also cover how to manage conversation and concern with patients who do require a referral.
Suitable for the Primary Care workforce across Greater Manchester who are required to undertake vaginal examinations- especially practice nurses and sample takers.
