Education for Patient and Carer Representatives

This section is for patients/and or carers going through their own cancer experience and wanting to enhance their knowledge around subject areas to better support themselves, others and the community.

Greater Manchester Cancer Voices Community: Introduction

Patient and Carer Representatives play a vital role in helping us to better understand patient needs, so we can make positive changes and shape the future of care for cancer patients.

There are several ways on how patients and carers can get involved to become a representative with the Greater Manchester Cancer Voices Community. This induction package has been designed to give you all the information you need to develop a better understanding of what the Voices Community is and decide whether you’d like to be involved.

To learn more on the different ways on how you can get involved please visit www.gmcancer.org.uk/get-involved/ or email gmcancer.voices@nhs.net

Greater Manchester Healthy Minds e-learning Course

Many people experience a mental health problem at some point in their life. It is the single largest cause of disability in the UK. It is therefore important that there is both an understanding of mental health and wellbeing and that there are resources for the public to develop their skills and awareness.

Developed in partnership with Greater Manchester Care Partnership, the Royal Society for Public Health is excited to offer a new eLearning course for anyone living or working in Greater Manchester.
